he Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Provincial Science and Technology Center- Pangasinan shared its Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) during the 2-day Capacity Building Training of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Eastern Pangasinan Field Office on 26-27 January 2022 in Balungao and Alcala, Pangasinan.
Jennifer C. Fernandez, Science Research Specialist II (SRS II) of PSTC-Pangasinan Field Office, discussed the Technology Transfer Programs such as Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) and Community-Based Projects (CBP). She also shared the Technical Assistance and Consultancy Services (TACS) that can be availed by the participants and introduced the Research and Development outputs and technologies available for adoption such as food innovation and processing technologies,
plant enhancer products, composting practices and waste to energy technologies to attain improvement, competitiveness and income generation, thus creating a stronger and sustainable economy anchored on science, technology, and innovation.
In attendance during the event were the beneficiaries of DOLE Sustainable Livelihood Framework program, namely: Balungao Tupig Makers and Vendors Association, Maresma Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Artacho Farmers Association and Alcala ECLTI Beneficiaries Association of Pangasinan.
